"I thought Eric had too many problems for me to be able to help, but instead, he has taught me a lesson about optimism."

    -Iris Lewis, 2000

We welcome and earnestly encourage volunteers and college interns. There is a screening and assignment process. If you are interested in volunteering or completing an internship, contact:

CROSSROADS Mission:
Community Partnership for Youth, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent or reduce youth involvement with the juvenile justice system by fostering positive mentoring relationships between youth and volunteers. Screened and trained volunteers are matched with children between the ages of 10 and 17 who have primarily been referred by juvenile probation officers or judges.

About CROSSROADS
CROSSROADS was founded in 1968 in response to concerns of citizens about growing juvenile delinquency issues. The agency was patterned after a successful mentoring program in Michigan, which had been started by a local judge. The original program served as an outreach of The United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.
